Voting Process
Tips, Details and Rules
A few details and rules will help make the voting process run smoothly. Make sure to share these:
- If you are in line or in the process of voting at 7:00 p.m., the polls must remain open until you have an opportunity to vote.
- If you are registered to vote, but your name does not appear on the voter list or you do not have the required form of photo ID, you still have the right to vote by using a provisional ballot. If this happens to you, you should ask the poll worker for a provisional ballot. You may cast a provisional ballot and present identification within two days of the primary.
- If anyone challenges your right to vote, you have the right to vote by provisional ballot.
- You should bring your driver's license, passport, or voter ID card.
