What if You told your local Veteran's Hospital, "you just had a heart attack"?
I did and the first question they asked me was, What did the Dr. say"? My question to them was, "what good would it do to tell you" and I'm acting this way because "you diagnosed me with "high cholesterol when I actually had a "blockage" and over the weekend I had severe chest pains and went to a local Dr. for treatment to learn I was having a heart attack.
What good does it do me when you diagnose me with high cholesterol, instruct me on what I need to do to correct it. I do all that only to learn I had more than high cholesterol, a whole artery was blocked, which caused me to have a heart attack. I was actually having the heart attack while the health care provider was explaining to me about high cholesterol. So all she was saying did no good because she failed to take further action based upon your diagnosis and missed what was actually happening? They can always tell you the extra shit you need to do but can't think of the extra stuff they need to do.
On top of all that, as I'm explaining this to you, you become very defensive giving great excuses and explanations on how you cannot tell when a person is having a heart attack...
Then, my question to you is, "what good does it do me for you to even check me for heart problems, what should I do when you present one, how can I know more than you the health care provider"?
Sometimes we become so consumed with coveing our assess we forget our whole purpose and the little extra things we can do in our own preventive maintenance, checks and services, because all we want is a "fat paycheck". NOw, my ass is suffering from a heart attack and you're fat, dumb and happy collecting VA money while exclaiming all about "there's nothing you can do". So why even go to a VA doctor? All they do is show up and out smart their patients.
