People, land and resources what about these makes us want to hold on? How does the idea of beating people, abusing land and resources evolve into trying to hold on?
Are you old enough remember when living from day to day was enjoyable. That's how we came up with church. Church used to be enjoyable, a breathe of fresh air, spiritual retreat...but anymore???
From the futile efforts of trying so hard to hold on to things like houses, land, bills, arrangements... have become so overwhelming we don't know what else to do. We've made all this bullshit seem like a natural process in life, when it is just a vicious cycle of more and more bullshit.
It is not what we do but how we do it and that is why corruption is so tempting. Rather than give you some shit to help, we would rather dangle it in front of you, treating you like you're some kind of drug addict trying to get a fix.
You see all these damned cars, there's well more than enough to go around and to avoid crimes associated with automobiles. But nooo that's too much like right. So, they sit on car lots, while we pay astronomical prices for emergencies. What does the average ride in an ambulance cost these days? What does it cost to be buried, born, or to be given health care?. Does any of this shit make sense to you and all of our politicians are steadily pumping us with lame excuses. All things free and useful.
This song describes it best: I'm so tired of holding on to nothing The years have shown no kindness For the hard times we've been through We've squeezed the life from every dream And still go right on bluffing With really nothing left to hold on to---words from Porter Wagoner and Dolly Parton
What is the nothing we're trying to hold on to, existence. If a free man says he's tired of holding on, what does an innocent man on death row say?
Give me that old time religion
