Time to Smell the Roses

Spring, a new season is upon us. It's a good time to think about and implement whatever it is you look forward to in the harvest.
'Stop and smell the roses' is a cliché that is widely used by people we encounter every day. We know its meaning, which is, to take time to appreciate not only the large successes but to acknowledge and celebrate every situation or slow down and pay attention to what is happening around you. 'Stop and smell the roses' is commonly used when talking to someone who seems to be zooming through life and not taking the time to enjoy it.
Every day of our lives should be a celebration if our work is meaningful and helps someone else. This is the foundation for life. We should celebrate with our families, friends, coworkers, and everyone who helped during the day. Celebration can be small or large but it should reflect appreciation for the positive events in life.
Also, take time to go outside, no matter what the weather, commune with nature and breathe in fresh air. When you are feeling drained, step away from what you are doing and go for a little walk. Natural light and fresh air are natural remedies to ease feelings of depression and anxiety.
“Taking time to smell the roses” helps to keep us in a positive state of mind. We are able to spread joy where ever we go.
