Held Hostage

Once a loved one has transitioned from the physical plane of existence, their family members often times distribute their belongings amongst themselves or they sell it or donate it to some charitable institution.
Lots of time we tend to hold on to certain items that we saw the dearly departed always wear or carry around with them i.e, grandma's quilt, auntie's keys, necklace, scarf, granddaddy's favorite necktie, a blouse, a belt, your wife's apron, or your husband's gloves. Those items that they use to own here in the physical world still contain that person's essence and carries their energy, vibration and scent (depending on the object) whether it was positive or negative.
If there was a strong bond/connection of Love between you, then be comforted in knowing that they took that love that you shared with them into the next realm and the object you kept would be like a "good luck" charm so-to-speak.
But what if the two of you did not get along for many years? Now that they've passed on and you're still here holding onto something that was once theirs, are you holding their soul/spirit hostage? Yes you are!
You may not have meant to do it, but that's exactly what's been done. Why? Because the two of you had never cleared the energy between you before they left. Somebody never apologized. Someone never said "I'm sorry". Yet once they made their transition, they took with them every bit of anger and bitterness that you shared with them, instead of love.
Sometimes, one's grief, sadness, guilt ridden memories of hurtful things said mixed with the sorrow of losing a loved one is as equally effective in preventing that soul/spirit from continuing on with their transition just like holding onto the departed's belongings which in turn forces them to gravitate to you and always be around you everyday no matter where you go and no matter what you do. Now that's hell!
Both being spiritually stuck with each other. They cant get away from you, and you dont even know or realize that you cant get away from them.
Whether they were your sibling, parent, mate/spouse, cousin or some other relative, you can still make amends and clear the energy for them to move on. They still have lessons and assignments.
Allow them to become a Guardian Angel around you, and not just the essence of some negative energy lingering about from a past relationship with a deceased friend or relative.
Think about where you live right now. Take a look around inside your apartment/home. Feel the energy inside the home. Do you feel confusion and frustration constantly around you? Or, is there love, laughter, happiness and fond memories? Now honestly ask yourself, "Am I guilty of holding someone's soul/spirit hostage?" If you think that you are, then it's high-time to do some house cleaning and energy clearing, and let them go with Love and in peace.
No one said it's going to be easy, but think of whenever the day comes that you make your transition and you could end up being the one that's.....held hostage. ~Sekhmet Hotep Amen-Ra~
