Hard Work
Keep a close watch on how you live and on your teaching. Stay true to what is right for the sake of your own salvation and the salvation of those who hear you (v.16)… Timothy 4:13-16
Hey, Inner Voice.Com Team…It’s Margrett. All that hard work at the weekend 1st seminar paid off. I made two presentations on “The Need to Re-visit Education” and the 2nd presentation made on Saturday morning was about the “Educational System Failing Our Students” (1.) What are we doing for the students that are being left behind…No student left behind initiative. (2). Students falling through the cracks; who placed the cracks.
I have at least two or three more weekends of seminars; one in Georgia and the last two in Florida. As a retired educator, I was asked by my constituents to come back and share with Boards of Education my research findings on “Functional Education in the New Millennium”.
My approach/experience and effort is an example of what the Bible calls diligence—hard work and perseverance.
Diligence is commended in Scripture, especially in regard to our/your private life working your passion(s). This I share in my writings with readers of “Your Inner-Voice.Com” and my students at Millennium Second Chance Educational Center, Incorporated. “Enter To Learn; Depart To Share”…whatever hard work you do, let it be functional.
Scripturally speaking, Paul encouraged Timothy to diligently attend to his public ministry. He wanted Timothy to work hard in the practice of publicly reading the Scriptures. Prior to Paul’s time, God’s people had been committed to publicly reading Scripture (2 Kings 23:2). The apostle told Timothy to work hard at preaching, teaching, and using his spiritual gifts. This included the exposition and application of the passages that were read publicly.
Paul also encouraged Timothy to diligently attend to his private life. He charged the younger man to carefully watch over his behavior and his theology. He wanted Timothy to realize that his behavior revealed what he believed, and what he believed was revealed in the way he worked and lived. The resulting rewards of diligence in these areas were that Timothy would continue to live out his salvation and help others live out their own (Philippians 2:12-13)...this, also, is my ministry and passion...reaching out to help others.
Your heavenly Father desires for you/us—by the power of the Holy Spirit—to work hard at having a consistent and powerful ministrypassion both in public and in private. Jehovah God can then use you/us as an agent in influencing believers to work out their salvation with fear and trembling.
What passion/ministry did you work hard on for your weekend…I just shared mine. Never to live this life again…
