On this day eighty-three years ago, December 5, 1929, a great man was born.
Knowing poverty since birth, he determined while he was young that he'd utilize and share his knowledge with others; family always first. His actions always speaks of his love. His words are gentle even with sting when needed. He listens when he can hear you, still encouraging when he can't hear even though both know he is just being Dad - lovingly.
Dad, you've always been at my side encouraging me to be who I am since I can remember maybe 2 years old. I am forever thankful, grateful and appreciate having you as my father. Everyone who reads this ALREADY knows how blessed I am and it all started with you.
I am who I am because you accept me for who I am, demonstrating your love.
I am confident because you kept me secure which is why
I do not accept “no” from anyone who is not in a position to say “yes”.
I have high esteem because of your compliments throughout my life which is why I do not give a damn how/what others think/feel about me.
I am truthful because you instilled honesty which is why I feel white lies are not needed.
I am adventurous because you taught me to always challenge myself which I continue to work on.
I am loving because your actions speak of love for all which is why I love to love unconditionally.
I love nature because of our many family gatherings on the Cape with nature.
The Cape where I can smell,feel and hear the earth wind and water resonate in oneness such I beautiful visual for me . A visual of the Cape became my instant place of rest for peace. Seeing the oneness of nature while hearing the roar of the ocean waves is peaceful. There is no need for me to be physically present to find peace within this visualization because I can still feel your energy of long ago wrapping around me like a security blanket. I love you Dad and thank the Most High for allowing me to be your daughter.
