~Dear Heavenly Father, Today We Pray~...
When we look at the billions and billions of stars and know that there are multitudes of galaxies beyond anything we can see, we are overwhelmed by your greatness Father. It can be easy to feel unimportant in this world. It can be easy to feel like we are just too insignificant for our problems to matter to you...at least those are things that the enemy would have us think and believe. With a greatness that we can't even begin to comprehend, you not only named the stars in the sky, but you order them, one by one. You set everything in motion and watch over it all, day in and day out. You know us each by name. You have us carved on the palm of your hand. You see our comings and our goings. You see our every tear, you hear our every cry. You are on constant duty watching over us and protecting us and you are busy working everything together for good for each of us. Lord, we can't begin to understand how you can do all that you do....or how you can love us knowing that we are just dust...but you call us your beloved children. Lord, it's overwhelming for our brains to take in, but one day we will see and know and understand. We can hardly imagine Lord...but we wait with eager, grateful, awe filled hearts to see your side of glory and to be in your presence.
Lord, this world can make us feel lost and unimportant at times. People can try to hurt us and make us feel that we have no worth or value. May we all continually be working on finding out who we are in you...may our sense of self-worth come only from what you think of us. May we cling to the things you say about us in your Word.
May your confidence and love for us heal our hurts and wounds. May we gain strength and proper perspective to function in the world the way that you would have us to.
Lord, sometimes we just need to stop everything and just sit in your presence and be awed by you...to be filled by you...to give praise to you for who you are....to thank you for the things you've done and are going to do. May our thoughts be centered on you...and as we gaze at you, the things of this world fade away...our problems and needs fade away in the light of your glory and grace. We realize that nothing really matters but you Lord. Be in our midst we pray and we ask that you speak to our hearts in new and glorious ways. Go before us now, in Jesus name we pray...AMEN!!!...never to live this life again…
