Slavery and/or Genocide, which do you prefer? Why would you ask a supporter of something so sinister as the confederacy to compromise on the public display of materials honoring the confederate? Why shouldn't you?

The Confederate battle flag is like the Nazi swastika, racist, genocidal and terrorizing. The rebel flag is a constant vivid reminder of cowardice war crimes committed by one people against a people who had no means of fighting back. Strange fruit on the popular tree, do you know what that is?

The crazy part about this all is victims are expected to ignore and are forced to embrace what's really going on as an innocent act of remembrance? And even more crazy, ???our??? government supports this Nazi behavior.

The rebel flag represents those who have no sense of remorse for heinous crimes committed under this flag and want all to think it represents a pleasant part of American history, to be celebrated by all, by publicly displaying something so disgraceful as any confederate/rebel regalia.

This tells me every criminal in prison, including Hitler, are to be celebrated for the crimes they committed.

Yes, honoring the confederacy is like honoring the Nazis and public display of any confederate symbolism is like public display of the swastika. Just ask any victim.

Why not combine the two, The American Flag. Then, nobody would want to fly it.

So, why use democracy in its defense? Who gives a shit about a flag, especially one so disgusting as what the rebel flag represents? Will it help you get into heaven? Is it all about power and dominance?

I just as soon fly a "fly-swatter", it'll bring me more comfort.

Can you believe a people would refuse the removal of a flag, a piece of cloth or similar material, no matter how offensive it is to fellow human beings? How childish.

So, it has to be more to this refusal than, Just a flag.

How could any human being become so attached to something so material as a flag? Does this flag reflect their beliefs or is it the other way around? Then, what does the cloth or similar material?

Does this indicate to you how psychotic, out of touch with reality, rebel flag supporters are? They simply ignore the reality of this flag, fail to face the reality their ancestors were wrong and are disillusion about what they want the rebel flag to be. They say its for one thing, when we all know different, just like the Nazis. They care less about others, how much pain and anguish the public display of this flag represents and may bring to others. They want their flag and to hell with the rest of America.

Does the public display of the rebel flag represent what we want America to be?

They fail to realize, the rebel flag is not just offense to Blacks, but also to whites who fought against it. Do you think Native Americans embrace this flag? So, that tells you, an overwhelming majority of Americans have no druthers about removing this flag from tax payer's places and think it to be an excellent gesture to righting wrong.

So, if this flag only represents a personal emotion with you, fly it at your home, not public places. Why are you so adamant about removing it from public places?

What does removing a flag mean to you? Now, what does removing this flag mean to the rest of the world? Many innocent people died because of what this flag really represents and have no room in their hearts for the likes of the Confederacy, but act like they don't care, why?

No man is wrong until he himself admits he is wrong.
