Albino Child MurderedAlbino butchery, A gruesome trade involving body partsOne conviction out of 53 deaths. What kind of relationship is that? How does that go with helping and loving your neighbor, doing unto others as you would want done to yourself? Stealing other people badies/children? Cannibalism? We are all one spirit, Under The Same Sun. What makes your mind work like that? In the remote northwest regions of Shinyanga and Mwanza Albino children, especially albino are murdered, for their body parts to be used as a lucky charms or so--witchcraft? Who needs that kind of luck? Who would be willing? Just maybe they do not know the whole story, just like we do not know about hair. You know, there just might be a connection between all this false? Body parts like hair, genitals, arms and legs are taken for use by witchdoctors. Many locals believe there are magical properties in the blood, bones and skin of people with albinism. How evil! How mean? I mean it really sounds "unthinkable, unimaginable... I find this hard to believe, especially in this day and time. How could anyone be so desparate for money and a lucky charm they could even conceive of the idea of killing and dismembering another human being? But now I really think about it, is it any different, more sick than abducting any child, a drive-by-shooting, robbery, genocide, domestic violence, slavery...the list goes on. I am even thinking broken homes. Todate, there has been more 85,000 people killed in Iraq alone. I guess you say, "It ain't what you do so much as it is how you do it". How could anybody be involved in such a trade? This is worse than slavery. Boy, the things some people will do for a buck. Burundi, where more than 40 albinos have been killed over the past year. Police sources suspect albino limbs and organs are smuggled across the border into Tanzania and sold to witch doctors, who use them to concoct lucky charms. Fishermen and small-scale miners were initially believed to be the sorcerers' main customers but albino body parts can now fetch thousands of dollars in Tanzania. A string of botched trials and fruitless arrests has raised suspicion that bigger players could be involved in the gruesome trade. Anyhow, if you have insight into this story, I invite you to share. Until then, I pray God will remove this taste from their mouths. I would just like to know. As Christians, they will know us by our love. We must all strive to inform, educate, understand cultures other than our own, we must assimulate to enable us to grow as a race, human race................compassion, faith and love, otherwise "humanity" will die out..................that is, if we are in fact "human" to begin with.
