Responsibility for, Who?
Ultimately, the responsibility for the U.S. financial crisis falls on "the people". It does not matter what party or who voted them in, the good suffers with the bad. Observing and properly reporting inappropriate behavior is everyone's responsibilty. A government of the people, by the people, for the people; Checks and Balances were taken for granted, overlooked or ignored, from the bottom, up and the top, down! "The people" lost their power.
