Proud

Lil Johnny(ie), I am so "proud" of you. This is the most deadliest thing to say,,,why

Proud to be an American,,,Oooops, that's a very bad word!

So often I see articles pointing out words, for one reason or another, that should nolonger be used. I will not mention them because none have been as detrimental to our health and well-being as this one or these two.

When you or someone you know do something you think GREAT, it is easy to let a "P" word fly. Just the way we have been raised. However, you might want to find a better way to express your gratitude!

I say we ought to relook and revise our list of profane words, in particular because one of the most profane words in the history of our English language is not listed there: Pride/Proud. Being I am not a Bible scholar, how did these two words get overlooked and become so popular in our daily talk? You do not have to be of any one religious belief to realize the negative implications behind the literal use of the "P" words.

It tells me that people who use it are ignorant or they just do not give a damn. I am most surprise when I hear the words "proud" OR "pride" fall from the lips of some of our most holy and prestigous people, except to forbid their use.

I have heard all kind of arguments, there is a good pride and bad? They are two different words, two different meanings?

I am out to lay these arguments to rest and maybe save a soul or two. Research it!

Now, maybe I have got this all wrong and if you point that out, I will be the first to stand corrected. On the other hand, if I am correct, PLEASE GIVE ME SOME CREDIT, (smile)!

The act of being Proud is strictly forbidden and the Bible gives several very clear explanations or reasons why so. I do not know a better source of reference. They include Pride and Proud. Research for yourself, but

    Here are just two examples:

    PRIDE:

  • I will break down your stubborn pride and make the sky above you like iron and the ground beneath you like bronze.

  • In his pride the wicked man does not seek him; in all his thoughts there is no room for God. Pride!

    Proud:

  • then your heart will become proud and you will forget the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.

  • Do not keep talking so proudly or let your mouth speak such arrogance, for the LORD is a God who knows, and by him deeds are weighed.

Research it for yourself and act accordingly!

All in working to see and realize better times.

(((your inner voice)))

Pride!

Hate, though not quite as dangerous, is also a very dangerous word.
