Profanity, Vulgar language, SwearingWhat should I do? Remain polite, professional and respectful...Some people make a big deal of nothing. Have you ever run across this kind of situation: Good morning Art. Thank you for sending this update regarding our meeting. If I could please humbly and respectfully make a request, it will be to ask that during the group's interactions, that we all remain polite, professional and respectful towards one another. May we please agree to not use offensive profanity or vulgar language? Please know that I am definitely not trying to dictate how anyone's conversation should be. Only to bring us to a higher level in the way we think as well as how we do business. Even though I profess to be a Christian and my husband is a Minister, we will not be attending these meetings for the purpose of trying to convert anyone. We understand how to draw the line. Its just that I personally am uncomfortable around too much conversation like that and don't understand why it is necessary for intelligent people to talk this way in order to get their point across. As with any business or organizations, there are rules of conduct, as well as policies and procedures. I have worked for about 15 years in the corporate world in middle to upper management, so am very familiar with how this aspect of business operates. In addition, my husband is five months shy of completing his Master's degree in Business Management, so I believe he would be a much needed asset to our group. Most black business' fail, because they don't understand business management. Well, you said to be honest with one another, so I have communicated my thoughts to you. Please let me know what you think. Be blessed! What you do and how you do it is your business. Does your husband work with Bishop Eddie Long? That is "Bullshit"! Your generation, although meaning well, has royally screwed things up. That is how we have come to this economic ruin. That's why our children wear their pants on their head. That's why women do not respect men. If you want the door opened for you, open it for someone else. I am glad you mentioned that and now I can properly address it. From where did you ever get that idea? Either you want me for my contribution or you don't, but do not tell me how to talk. Do not judge a book by it's cover. What goes on behind closed doors will eventually come to light. How many times have you been married, why? I am uncomfortable when my car breaks down, roof leaks, computer problems, bills, debt, death in the family and the list goes on and on. Sometimes you have to curse. It does not matter where or who you are. People will do things to you until you make them shit or get off the pot. They will drag ass all day long. Daily, I am faced with this kind of situation, as I am talking with what I think are good intentioned, well educated, the cream of the crop kind of people and what do you get, more Drunk Speak and a "holier than thou mentality". I spent 23 years defending myself, the United States of America and this mentality. And you wonder why our children are the way they are -- hypocrites. You really should talk with an "Good Old Lady". I am sure they will tell you a thing or two. Why would you want to tell a mature adult male how to talk? I know the rules, but if you ask me a question? Preachers are here to save sinners? Is it getting better or worse? Sad to say, but most of them are full of shit. According to Preacher wives, most complain like hell about how unfaithful, money and power hungry their Preacher husbands are. We have more Preachers and churches than ever before, but our communities, schools and churches are worse than ever. I challenge you to do better. You had better wakeup. What kind of people are you looking to help? The curse words you speak about are English, from where did they come? Does it make any difference if you think them but do not say them? Do curse words make your actions any more or less? Are people who do not curse any better than people who do? We proclaim not cursing, yet we curse? We teach our children not to curse, yet they curse? Content containing profanity we label adult only? How do you explain this? Double standards and we say one thing yet we do another. Why do we make life so complicated? The words we call curse words are not really curse words. Some real curse words are: Money, age, gender, race, nationality, religion... The curse is not in your words, but actions. It is what we do to each other and our Holier than thou mentality. United What? If we did not know about all our differences what would that do for us? Obviously, this lady does not know me nor does she want to get to know me. I am one of the nicest people you will ever meet, as long as things are straight. Most businesses fail for the same reason most marriages fail, bad relationships. My dear, what I am suggesting is, we have made many good things, the problem is you cannot get to them if you do not have money. And if it takes what you call cursing to bring attention to them, it will be a helluva lot better than violence, abuse and guns. (((your inner voice.com)))
You never know when God is going to bless you!! Good things happen when and where you least expect them!!!!!!!! I thank God for this day, I thank Him for being able to see and to hear. I'm blessed because He is a forgiving and understanding God, who have done so much for me and He keeps on blessing me. Forgive me this day for everything I have done, said or thought that was not pleasing to You. I ask now for Your forgiveness. Please keep me safe from all danger and harm. Help me to start this day with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude. Let me make the best of each and every day to clear my mind so that I can hear from You. Please broaden my mind that I may accept all things. Let me not whine and whimper over things I have no control over. And give me the best response when I'm pushed beyond my limits. I know when I can't pray, You listen to my heart. Continue to use me to do Your will. Continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others. Keep me strong that I may help the weak... Keep me uplifted that I may have words of encouragement for others. I pray for those that are lost and can't find their way. I pray for those that are misjudged and misunderstood. I pray for those who don't know You intimately. God changes people and God changes things. I pray for all my sisters and brothers. For each and every family member in their households. I pray for peace, love and joy in their homes; that they are out of debt and all their needs are met. I pray that every eye reading this knows there is no problem, circumstance, or situation greater than God. Every battle is in His hands for Him to fight. I pray these words be received into the hearts of every eye that sees them in Jesus' name. Let it be so! your-inner-voice.com |
