PEAK, PEEK, PIQUEReading, the other day, I came across a new word "piqued", as in you must pique their interest. I questioned myself if it was a new spelling or what? So here you go: It is tempting to think that your attention might be aroused to a high point by “peaking” your curiosity; but in fact, “pique” is a French word meaning “prick,” in the sense of “stimulate.” The expression has nothing to do with “peek,” either. Therefore the expression is “my curiosity was .” An amazing number of people write about "mountain peeks." A peak is a summit; a peek is a glimpse, and a pique is a prick. As I listen with my heart, answers float to the surface. With this realization I ask, it is given and I have faith it will be received. After meditation, my mind stays in Spirit as I carry a deep serenity and peace into my day. Those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on things of the Spirit.
