The Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) Fight in America
Another group killing in the name of the Lord? Ghostlike movements, we don't know why they are here. What have we done to bring them to destroy us?
Most Americans do not even know the LRA and fail to recognize the damage it has caused and still is causing, but I am here to tell you, the LRA is live and well in America.
The Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) is out to destroy anything Christian. Political groups against political groups, Political groups dividing the American people, Religions against religions, Christians against Christians and anybody that’s not Christian. Though most Americans are Christian, any public display of Christian beliefs are being torn down and removed from public places, courts, and schools, for fear of offending the LRA. Prayer in public places, including schools is strictly forbidden and closely monitored. The future of Christianity in America looks dim. Lines of divide are being drawn everywhere, including the race card.
Crime is out of control, looting, uninivited visitors are leaving to ruin whatever they cannot carry away; and terrorism is of great concern. Amid dense rubble, makeshift huts are popping up for displaced families. Their lives have been turned upside down due to a failing economy, and to make matters worse, most Americans cannot explain why. Their attackers speak a foreign tongue and the people are fighting a war outside their control, fueled chiefly by corporate greed and hypocrisy - not the American Government.
This confusion of the American people is not unique, and it's certainly not new - the LRA has spent more than two decades infiltrating a world backed by Christian beliefs.
On the ground, such claims are difficult to prove and there are so many rumors. I have not really seen any concrete evidence to support this, but few would be surprised if it were true. It's certainly possible.
During all this confusion and chaos, there is only “one man” upon which Americans can safely depend. Others who fled here will likely return to their even more oppressed villages they once called home.
America’s tolerance for greed, hypocrisy, slavery, cronyism and our long and despicable history of discriminating against and oppressing minorities, seniors, children, women, homosexuals, handicapped, land and resources has finally come around to bite us.
In May, President Obama signed a bill that gave his Administration 180 days to produce a new strategy to defeat the LRA and protect civilians in territories where it is active. Advocacy groups see the bill as an opportunity to focus political energy on ending one of the world's most horrific wars and amping up humanitarian efforts to assist American victims. But easy permanent solutions appear as elusive.
At any point, can Americans forgive the Lord's Resistance Army?
