Fresh produce growers are—and I say this with the utmost admiration—(((crazy))). They work all year to hit a marketing window lasting about as long as a fresh Georgia peach.
They have no price guarantees or government support programs, just smart working people living on faith. And if you think that’s risky, there are families earning a living from fall pumpkin festivals and corn mazes and it taken care of them for generations. On top of all the challenges to fresh produce farmers, they have to persuade city folk like you to buy their products. Think about that when you say “I don’t like orka…” or really not concerned about the freshness of your food?
You have to be a special kind of people to live a life so close to nature. But it takes a special kind of people to do any job well. And that is why I love Agriculture. What other business offers a fulfilling and stable life to all people? It teaches self-sustainability and we’re running from it.
Though they consistently deliver quality products, arrange for timely transport, their main concern is keeping all of us healthy and happy. And they do that using common sense and dedication. This is something on which you can depend.
They do it out of Love, good health and appreciation. Good hearted people who keep us all working.
With each passing day, I marvel at how little I know about this business, how much there is to learn, and how much fun we can have along the way. People do what they want.
