Are people getting closer or farther away from the truth?

 Is a lie detector saying people do not know the truth? Is it an aid to getting to the truth, then why don’t we use it for elections, advertisements, preachers, teachers, our daily lives…?

Is a lie detector any indication of the truth? Why you find one lie, does that mean the rest of the story is true or is that all you needed to prove, in order to administer your system of justice? Is DNA any better?

Does it fit in the same category as a camera, recorder...? What next? Where in the world is safe to traveL? NKorea clears its military to attack US with nukes? Is America any safer?

If it took all these kind devices to let us know how wrong we were, how right are we now?
