FRICTION between Black men and Black women“There’s a lot of FRICTION between Black men and Black women. We can lie to ourselves and pretend that the problem is not there, or we can do something to try and address this problem. What I’m trying to do is create a dialogue, so that we can take a look at this problem…These are some good brothers, there’s no question about that, but I’ve often heard Black men complain about Black women hot temper, and their attitude. A few weeks ago I was talking to some brothers, and they said man I love sisters, but it seems like they are never satisfied.”-- PICTURES of influenial BLACK MEN that date I got that email and after reading it, many thoughts came to mind. One friend said this, “WOW everybody's doing it - Awesome pics......................see I do have good taste.” My questions are, is this friction really a problem and really who is it that is never satisfied? From a single black male, whose mother is a black woman? Color really should not matter. However, from my experience, there is some friction between good African-American men and women. For the black women I have dated, it’s a control and trust thing. Black women are not very tolerant of being absent from the nest, without a good excuse? Black women are not very adventurous with their black men? Black women are not very open and supportive of new ideas from their black men? Black women are not very romantic, with their black man? Beyond going to church, Black women are not very inspirational to their black men? Black women are accepted and strive to be role models in the system. Black men are rejected and rebel against the system. That struggle is cause for friction. Black men used to be heads of their households, but due to changes, the roles have been reversed. This role reversal is cause for friction. Now, with women as the head of household, it seems we would be producing better products, especially young black ladies. However, that does not seem to be the case, in fact, it is just the opposite. That opposition is cause for friction. You might can say black women just do not trust black men too quick because they know black men. Lack of trust is cause for friction. Jealousy is a bad thing. This friction is keeping black women and men from being totally free with each other.
