Extremely dangerous to encourage people to see themselves as exceptional

Am I the exception or am I the rule?

Why is everyone so upset about this comment taken from a speech made  by Russian President Putin? Is it because it's true?

I ask myself what did he mean and I asked myself is it true. Based on my interpretation it is true, now I'm why the American Status Quo is so upset, true or not?

He said, she said, if he said, “It is extremely dangerous to encourage people to see themselves as exceptional, whatever the motivation..." and directed that comment towards America, what exactly was he implying, to make people so upset?

Do you realize how many ways and how long Americans have mocked Russians, why? Do you remember the phrase "communist pinko bastard"? To whom are we referring? Americans are two minutes from going to war with any and everybody, so what's the problem? What does it matter about what people think and say? What matters most is what people do. Other than encouraging people to listen to themselves, what else would you encourage them to do, why?

If he took issue with us and we took issue with him...? How many people, animals... do we kill in a single day, just for the privilege to drive?

Am I the exception or am I the rule? Does the exception prove the rule or are we all just humble people trying our best to create an atmosphere of peace and harmony? Is that exception or rule? Why not the exception that proves the rule?
