Man-Made BarriersBreaking boundaries between man and man, animals and man, nature and man? Open borders! This a very competitive world and I want to win just as much as anyone. Borders, Fences, Walls, Trenches and Berms; Which side of the fence are you on? Thinking outside box? The more of them, the more of them to guard. What does the mat at your door read? I understand the need for borders, but why border patrols? What if we had border patrols for every state, city, county, commnity? Why not friendly, warm-hearted boundaries welcoming instead of WARNING? Common respect and decency? I mean, we do pretty good at state borders, why wouldn't it be the same at international borders? Do you care if a person from NY crosses into GA? We don't speak the same language? A Southern can spot a yankee a mile away, and if they ain't breaking the law, who cares? What's wrong with treating every person with dignity and human rights, until proven otherwise? Why not be the first to extend a warm welcome and a helping hand? Isn't that how we treat our neighbors or uninvited guests? Thinking outside the box! (((your inner voice.com))) As in man-made barriers aiding in Safety, Security, Privacy and Beautification are great barriers when used accordingly. Mark areas “for the good of all mankind, please walk around”. They are good because they mark and guide us safely around dangerous obstacles. Little garden fences or fences around your home are beautiful. Show another man's home respect, why walk through his yard without permission, all because you want to take a short-cut? Respect goes both ways and a long ways. However, when barriers are used to deprive any individual the right, to what every person should have a right to...land, where is the respect? The same barriers become visible and invisible blockades --love, freedom, friendship, peace and prosperity; all the things people need. I don't know exactly the words, but think about it: What if I blocked the right of way from you? Haven't we learned from the great wall of China, Russia, East Germany? One generation blocks off and the next generation tears down the wall. Other barriers, lines that divide us, as human beings, are ugly and ought to be torn down, because they pit us against one another. Around the globe, walls spring up to divide neighbors. Contrary to popular belief, Good fences do not make good neighbors, but respect does. Goods and capital can move freely but people can not, giving another reason for conflict. There are more conflicts over Land-borders and religion than any other. It is at this point, we must defend the barriers we have erected, giving in to abilities to reason, pulling together and sharing. People can not and do not own land. We practice ownership but, we are grossly deceiving ourselves, depriving others and future generations. Everything we own will go with us when we depart this life. At best we can occupy and exist together. We can work, share and act as guardians for the earth. The best example of that, we must follow. Instead of barriers, build more bridges and gardens for Truth and Love. From them, people can eat, feel welcome and respect entering through any designated entrance. We are one people and People will respect that for all people want to be treated equally- human rights. The idea is to leave this world a better place than it was before we came in, for peace and prosperity. "First and last, it's a question of money. Those men who own the earth make the laws to protect what they have. They fix up a sort of fence or pen around what they have, and they fix the law so the fellow on the outside cannot get in. The laws are really organized for the protection of the men who rule the world. They were never organized or enforced to do justice. We have no system for doing justice, not the slightest in the world."--Clarence Darrow Every kingdom divided against itself is laid waste, and no city or house divided against itself will stand; and if Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself; how will his kingdom stand? And if I cast out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they shall be your judges. But if it is by the Spirit of God that I cast out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. Or how can one enter a strong man's house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? Then indeed he may plunder his house. He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me scatters. I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven. And whoever says a word against the Son of man will be forgiven; but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come. Either make the tree good, and its fruit good; or make the tree bad, and its fruit bad; for the tree is known by its fruit. You brood of vipers! How can you speak good, when you are evil? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. The good man out of his good treasure brings forth good, and the evil man out of his evil treasure brings forth evil. Bridge building, open borders are most important in education, learning, trade and economics. (((your inner voice.com))) |
