American pit bull terrier
What is so special about American pit bulls? Is that they terrorize? Why breed such a dog? As a Scientist, would you create a monster or something with the potential of being a being a monster? Is nothing off limits?
American pit bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Staffordshire bull terrier, or any other dog that has the substantial physical characteristics and appearance of those breeds.
All three breeds share a similar history, with origins rooted from the bulldog and a variety of terriers.
Pit bulls have become quite popular here lately. Often they are associated with terror, dog fighting, unless you are Mike Vick? Even worse, they often end in the hands of very irresponsible people. These dogs are neglected, escape and roam the streets.
Why would anyone take such a risk? Why all the hype? To me, it is the same as having a pet 500 lb. lion?
Because of the image, more and more youth want pit bulls? They realize the danger, but they do not want to be responsible. They can nicely explain in a hundred different ways, why it is not what it is? In their defense, they are just a vicious as the breed. A dog is no more vicious than his owner? Must you train a pit bull to hate other dogs? What about people?
